Event

On May 21, the digital roundtable digiTALK at TRIANGEL Transfer | Kultur | Raum addressed key questions surrounding the digital transformation of everyday life and governmental administration: Beyond the many benefits of digital technologies, we increasingly loose control over our data and informational self-determination is at stalk?

In his talk “Digital Anonymity – and Why It’s So Hard,” Prof. Dr. Thorsten Strufe illuminated the challenges surrounding digital surveillance and everyday data collection, despite frequent claims, the data was “anonymized”. The expert on privacy and security at KIT is part of the KASTEL Security Research Labs.

In the subsequent panel discussion, he exchanged views with other experts and an interested audience on the opportunities and risks of digitalization.
