Dr. Scott Thiebes was awarded this year’s dissertation award in the area IT security by the German Association for Data Protection and Data Security (GDD) for his outstanding dissertation on “A Socio-Technical Analysis of Genetic Privacy and its Role in Genetic Data Sharing”, which he completed at KIT last year.

The award ceremony took place during GDD’s 46th Data Privacy Conference (DAFTA), this November in Cologne. For his dissertation, he also received the KIT Faculty of Economics’ Science Prize this year. Read more
