Under the motto “IT Security Through the Looking-Glass”, the Karlsruhe region presented itself as an important and innovative location for IT security on the evening of 21 November. 200 invited experts were able to exchange ideas and learn about the latest developments in the field of IT security.
The event was hosted by the KASTEL Security Research Labs, the FZI Research Centre for Information Technology and the Karlsruhe IT Security Initiative KA-IT-Si. A highlight of the successful evening was the presentation “Voice Cloning” by Maximilian Stauss and Markus Schöne. With support from the audience, the two experts demonstrated how Artificial Intelligence can be used to quickly and easily copy and manipulate voices.
After the lecture, guests were able to visit themed stands to gain insights into current research projects and exchange ideas with experts. The evening once again underlined the importance of Karlsruhe as a location for IT security.
