KIT researchers present a catalog of criteria for data protection-compliant school information systems
Online Election of the Executive Board of the German Informatics Society (GI).
By December 8, 2,785 GI members had elected their board of directors, mostly online. The election was accompanied by individual and universal verification tools implemented by an independent third party using the POLYAS interface specification.
Researchers from KASTEL SRL developed one of four tools to verify the correct casting of individual votes (conversion as intended). These verification tools were offered to all voters as web services for optional use during the voting phase.
The KASTEL researchers also developed one of three tools to verify the count (saved and counted as cast). These tools counted the votes, took into account the withdrawn votes and also checked the presence and integrity of the votes
