On August 24, Prof. Lam Kwok Yan from the Digital Trust Center (DTC) in Singapore visited KASTEL Security Resarch Labs (SRL), the competence center for IT security at KIT in Karlsruhe.
The Digital Trust Center in Singapore is a national research center that advances trusted digital technologies, reinforcing Singapore’s status as a center of the digital economy. The DTC works with partners from industry, academia, and government. The goal is to create a secure digital environment for businesses and private users to take full advantage of the opportunities presented by the digital transformation.
Prof. Lam, the director of the DTC and vice president of Nanyang University Singapore, has long-standing contacts with KIT. With his visit to KASTEL Security Research Labs, he established another relationship to the networking of international research centers in the field of IT security. Professor Jörn Müller-Quade, head of the competence center KASTEL SRL, used practical examples to illustrate research in IT security and its application in companies. Prof. Lam appreciated the interdisciplinary research of KASTEL SRL and its practical application in numerous companies.
