Quantum Computing and Cybersecurity: Europe’s Roadmap in Focus

Event

Quantum computing is advancing at a rapid pace, signaling profound changes in IT security and digital sovereignty. As part of the INNO DAYS 2025, WIBU Systems AG hosted a moderated panel discussion on July 3, bringing together leading experts in cybersecurity, cryptography, semiconductor technologies, enterprise software, and quantum research.

Among the panelists was Prof. Jörn Müller-Quade, spokesperson for the KASTEL Security Research Labs, who contributed his expertise in cryptography and cybersecurity. Together, the participants explored practical strategies for building quantum-secure IT infrastructures, examined Europe’s roadmap toward digital sovereignty, and presented initiatives aimed at protecting sensitive data from the emerging threats posed by quantum computers.

Attendees of INNO DAYS gained valuable insights into Europe’s strategic responses to quantum challenges—and learned how to prepare their organizations for the coming quantum era.
