Dr. Scott Thiebes was awarded this year’s dissertation award in the area IT security by the German Association for Data Protection and Data Security (GDD) for his outstanding dissertation on “A Socio-Technical Analysis of Genetic Privacy and its Role in Genetic Data Sharing”, which he completed at KIT last year.
Prof. Steffen Becker, University of Stuttgart, and Prof. Anne Koziolek, Competence Center for Cybersecurity KASTEL at KIT, received a Tandem Fellowship from the Stifterverband and the Ministry of Science, Research and the Arts in Baden-Württemberg.
They were looking for inspiring ideas on how digital university teaching can be innovatively designed and further developed. With the fellowships, the Stifterverband and the Ministry of Science, Research and the Arts in Baden-Württemberg aim to stimulate a lasting discussion that is both subject-related and cross-disciplinary.
